RDL/SFR/B3: NAIROBI/LAKE BARINGO-LAKE BOGORIA/NAIROBI
Day 1: NAIROBI-BARINGO
From your Nairobi Hotel depart immediately after breakfast
and enjoy a scenic drive along tea and coffee plantations
inter-cropped with small rural farmsteads, dairy farms and
flower nurseries, then along the upper edge of the escarpment
with a brief photo-stop at the picturesque Viewpoint. From
this vantage point you can look at the panoramic floor of
the Rift Valley, dominated by the two dormant volcanic peaks
of Suswa and Longonot.
Thereafter continue your drive past the small town of Naivasha
on the left and then Gilgil further on to the right. After
Gilgil, you will pass Lake Elementaita, the smallest of the
Rift Valley lakes, before arriving in the town of Nakuru,
the farm capital of Kenya. Take a turn northwards and drive
for another two hours to Baringo. Check in at Lake Baringo
Lodge for lunch. After lunch take an afternoon boat ride on
the lake to count the birds and see the crocodiles. Return
to the lodge for sundowners before dinner and overnight. (LUNCH
& DINNER)
Day 2: LAKE BOGORIA
With your packed lunch, you depart by mid morning and drive
back a little past the small center of Marigat and then for
a further 30 kilometres to Lake Bogoria, the "Jewel of
the Rift". On arrival take a good drive around the lake
to take in this natural wonder, with thousands of flamingos
wading through the warm water and the geysers sending up jets
of steam twenty to thirty feet high. Your packed lunch will
be eaten in the park. After lunch, enjoy a game drive in the
park around the lake to view the different species of game
and thousands of birds that have made this park their home.
Return to Lake Baringo Lodge in the mid afternoon for some
rest and relaxation. The evening is at leisure before dinner
and overnight( BREAKFAST,LUNCH & DINNER)
Day
3: LAKE BARINGO-NAIROBI
Return to Nairobi after breakfast arriving by lunchtime

NAIVASHA
Day
1: NAIROBI-OUTSPAN-TREETOPS
From Nairobi, depart after breakfast and drive northwards
through the lush vegetation and farmlands to the country town
of Nyeri, and the Outspan Hotel where lunch will be served.
After lunch transfer to Treetops for an overnight of game
viewing from the balcony of your hotel. Overnight at Treetops
(LUNCH & DINNER)
Day 2: SWEETWATERS
After what should be a rewarding game viewing night, depart
from Treetops early in the morning to arrive back at the Outspan
for breakfast. Thereafter connect with your driver and take
a leisurely drive further north to the nearby town of Nanyuki
and onto the charming Sweetwaters Luxury Tented Camp located
in the heart of the 22,000 acre Sweetwaters Game Reserve.
You arrive in time for a morning game drive, which will include
a visit with MORANI the tame rhino domiciled in this park.
Lunch will be served at the Camp. In the afternoon you will
be taken to see the chimpanzees.
Return to the Camp in the late afternoon for a bit of relaxation
and sundowners before dinner. Overnight at Sweetwaters Luxury
Tented Camp (BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
DAY 3: LAKE NAIVASHA
After a restful night in this peaceful place and a sumptuous
breakfast the following morning, depart from Sweetwaters and
drive back to Nanyuki and then to Nyahururu for a brief photostop.
Thereafter take the winding roads carved high along the wall
of the Rift valley overlooking the beautiful valley of Subukia
and cross over to Lake Naivasha Country Club where you arrive
for lunch.
After lunch enjoy an afternoon boat ride on the lake to see
the hippos and count the birds. Return to the Club in the
late evening for dinner and overnight. (BREAKFAST, LUNCH &
DINNER)
Day 4: LAKE NAIVASHA-NAIROBI
Depart after breakfast and take a leisurely drive back to
Nairobi stopping at Viewpoint along the escarpment for a grand
view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Continue your drive
to Nairobi arriving just before lunchtime.
