RDL/SA/EXC 02: PRETORIA CITY TOUR

From Johannesburg, drive for forty minutes or so to Pretoria, the civic capital of South Africa. You approach the city and see the magnificent buildings of the University of South Africa. First stop at the the Voortrekker erected in memory of the leadres of the Great Trek. From here you may wish to spend some time at the Correctional Service Museum to see what improvements to the penal system has been made by South Africa. Other highlights include a visit to Melrose House, Church Square, Kruger House Museum, the Post Office and finally the Union Buildings, South Africa’s seat of government and the venue of the installation of Nelson Mandela, first democratically elected President of the Rainbow Nation.

The tour ends in the early afternoon and you are transferred back to your hotel in Johannesburg.er back on your own to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.
