Lesedi Cultural Village is situated in the bushveld at the foot of the Magaliesberg Mountains north of Johannesburg. Families from the Zulu warrior nation - the proud Xhosa, the warm-hearted Pedi and the mountain dwelling Basotho - all invite you into their traditional homesteads to share their ancient cultures steeped in tribal folklore and ancestral traditions. Guests can stay overnight and enjoy dinner served around a fire in the open-air “Boma” where traditional tribal dancing accompanies African fare. Accommodation in the traditional villages is in 4 rooms with twin beds and private bathrooms, 14 twin rooms with twin beds and en suite bathrooms and 5 rooms with 3 beds and en suite bathrooms. Rooms in each village are built according to the traditional style of each village, but furnished for modern comfort. There is a restaurant where an exotic buffet serving ethnic dishes and a carvery may be enjoyed, and a pub situated next to the restaurant where overnight guests may relax. Breakfast is served in the restaurant. |
